Connected to the Military

What qualifies me to understand military families today? I am a spouse of an active duty Soldier and it’s the toughest job in the Army!

All kidding aside, I have been privileged to have served in a Family Readiness Group and I also held a public relations position with the Fort Hood Morale, Welfare, and Recreation. Fort Hood is the one of the largest Army bases in the world and home to two armored divisions, III Corps, plus other commands, units and tenant organizations. During my tenure there, I saw firsthand the many challenges our Army families face today. There’s no doubt our service members and their families have unique lives apart from their civilian counterparts.
